A ceremony of ancient memory that celebrates the settlement, for six months, of the Captains Regent, Heads of State of the Republic of San Marino.
It is possible to take part in the suggestive historical protocol that sees the protagonists parading in period costume through the streets of the Historical Center.
The day begins at 9.45 am with the deployment of the Military Corps and the flag-raising in Piazza della Libertà.
At 10.40 am the procession of the Captains Regents elected goes to the Basilica del Santo for the celebration of the religious ceremony.
The parade then returns to Palazzo Pubblico at 11.30 for the official Oration.
This is the highlight of the ceremony, which sees the Captains Regents take an oath and receive the Investiture.
